So this means flying with the previous firmware is not safe anymore? How could it have been in the past then?

How to be sure with the new one there's no compass going mad? Or no visual sensor is turning blank? Or RC-connection is gonna freeze?

Each of the latest DJI fly-apps had massive bugs programmed, that could have been fixed before releasing, if DJI only would do any basic testing.
All issues had to be experienced by customers, before DJI even realized the bugs.

I'll wait and see... There's not even a hint of a discription in what means "flight safety" was "optimized".

To me DJI is not trustworthy until updates are released fully tested, well documented and are completely reliable.

Based on your information, NO

Optimized flight safety???, it's only provide to remove the NFZ hack if you have DH. Be aware!!!

Optimized flight safety is not really a useful release note to be honest. A bit more specific of what the updates is, would be much more appreciated.

DJI seems to have released some firmware versions which have a higher antirollback value than others.
Air2:
01.01.0610 (firmware good for hacking) - Antirollback 2
01.01.665 (firmware cannot be hacked, neither downgraded or upgraded) - Antirollback 3
01.01.670 (firmware cannot be hacked, but it can be flashed to 610) - Antirollback 2
Air2s:
02.04.2040 (firmware good for hacking) - Antirollback 1
02.04.2075 (firmware cannot be hacked, neither downgraded or upgraded) - Antirollback 2
02.04.2080 (firmware cannot be hacked, but it can be flashed to 610) - Antirollback 1
FPV:
01.02.0000 (firmware good for hacking) - Antirollback 1
01.02.0015 (firmware cannot be hacked, neither downgraded or upgraded) - Antirollback 2
01.02.0020 (firmware cannot be hacked, but it can be flashed to 610) - Antirollback 1
As far as i saw this firmware versions are not public available but some people have them (not sure how, my current assumption is that they were flashed after service, but this is only a guess).
So please warn everyone now to install this firmware version, best would be not to update at all.
Also this again shows that we should change our way of speaking about firmware versions, the version numbering is completely unimportant, the only important fact is the antirollback value.
How does this value work?
The drone has the antirollback value of the current firmware, this value can NEVER be decreased, it can only stay the same or increase! So when you want to flash a firmware the drone cannot flash it if the antirolback value of the firmware you want to flash is lower than the current value on the drone. the firmware you want to flash must have the same or a higher value. If you flash a firmware with a higher value the drone will automatically set itself to the higher value, from now on only versions with the same higher value can be flashed. Due to this the air2 cannot flash firmware 670 on top of firmware 665, because 670 firmware has a LOWER value than 665.
i hope i was able to explain this now properly and i hope people will understand the importance of this value now.
All drones with the firmwares 665, 2075 and 0015 cannot be hacked anymore and can not be flashed to a hackable firmware. IF or WHEN they will be able to be hacked again is unsure.
Please spead this information in every channel and community you are part of! Warn everybody to NOT UPDATE!

Since the update my camera will not remain level (horizontal). Calibrated the camera and the IMU a couple times,  refreshed the firmware and app, no luck.

What the heck is going on with these firmware versions.   I was on V02.04.2080, but now seem to have gone back to V02.04.2060.  The drone is no longer asking me to upgrade, it seems to be stuck on 2060.   Also, there appears to different build versions of the the fly app V1.4.12.   Currently my drone flies OK with no problems, other than the APP Album no longer syncs with the phone album, even though i have it switched on.     It synced fine until the recent fly APP upgrade.   Also, is there a repository (DJO or otherwise) where can I see all the different versions of the Fly APP and firmware versions?

I updated all 3 batteries, can anyone explain exactly how now discharge works?

After 10 days of not powering on your drone, the battery wil automatically discharge to 50-65%.
I believe that after a longer period they will discharge to an even lower percentage. This is all to keep the battery's health in the long run.

I have an iPhone XR. The DJI Fly app says it is version 1.4.12. How is that possible? And since updating the firmware to 2.04.2080, i cannot view the video when connected to the aircraft. It is recording video, just not able to view it in the DJI Fly app when connect to the remote.

Since the last firmware update my drone will not fly & the RC keeps advising no connection with device. All 3 batteries are affected.  Have tried reinstalling the app & manually reconnecting the drone numerous times without success.  Anybody else having this problem?

I have the same phone.  It says 1.4.12 because that's the latest version.  No problem there.  I don't have my phone and drone handy but when you first go into the "connection" menu in the Fly app, make sure the option is checked to display the camera's video upon connection.  Probably not it, but worth checking.

I would also refresh the firmware on the drone using the DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) connected to computer with USB cable.  For some reason I feel this gives fewer errors and less problems than if you update over the air.  But that's just my opinion, your mileage may vary.  Also worth doing is removing and reinstalling the Fly app completely if you haven't already.

I think this update screwed up my custom stick setting. I can’t fly using custom mode anymore. I don’t have up/down left/right. The aircraft won’t start with sticks in lower inside corners either. Anyone else having problems with custom mode?

After the update my drone is waving in normal mod at full speed.Why?

I get the message in my app when I am in flight that my FWD and BKWD sensors are not available. How do I go about fixing this? It flys with no issues but would prefer the sensors to work. This is even after the update.

With the release of the Mavic 3 and it having a fantastic and discrete new startup sound.
It would be great if the Air 2s gets this feature.

My argument for this is that the Mavic 3 sound isn’t as jarring to the ears.
Also I think the anti drone people are new very attune to the Mavic start up noise.

So please DJI, for the “safety” of the DJI drone user base, could you add this in the next firmware?

Yes! Just put the Microsoft Startup Sound....Because new updates have same number of bugs as Microsoft have )))

Way too many issues with the air 2S and the Mavic 3 for me to spend my money on them. What has happened to DJI? They really disappointed me.
