Hi there,

is there a way to export GPS coordinates from the flight track I see in my PC Ground Station (v4.0.11) software? I know the information a saved in the gslog.dat file, but how can I export them?

I tried the use the GPS Explorer but it seems like it doesn't work.

Regards Valentin

Do you have any IOSD Mark II to record your flight?

Coordinates are saved in the iOSD Mark II, not in the gslog. The file you're looking for is the FLY???.DAT.
But: you can only export coordinates after flying a photogrammetry mission. If you just fly around, coordinates will not be recorded.
If you want to have a look at your flight afterwards, may be a Flytrex Core flight recorder could be of interest.

If you want to export .dat file, pls do as followings:
1. Connect device, turn both RC and aircraft on.
2. Enter Camera view -> MC settings -> Advanced settings -> Flight data...
3. Tip will appear, connect your PC to aircraft through front USB then press OK, you can enter the internal storage with many .dat files and export them.

However, if you only need flight GPS information, you should export .txt files form flightrecord folder in device, they also can be transferred to other formats and display on Google Earth.

Hi Ducking,
what aircraft / FC are you talking about.
With A2 or WKM it's definitely not the way you described.
With WKM you will have to export the FLY???.DAT and then load that file in the GPS Exporter, then you can export the coordinates as txt.
With A2 you have to open the FLY???.DAT with the Data Viewer and click the GPS button to export the coordinates as txt-file.

No I have an iOSD mini. The PC Ground Station displays the flying track and record it in the gslog.dat. The only software missing is a nice export tool. There is a little java hack out which decrypt the gslog.log but its not really handy. That's why I'm asking if there is an official way provided by DJI?

Hi Valentin.

there is no official software from DJI for that. Only Data Viewer and GPS Exporter will export coordinates, but you will need an iOSD Mark II and only if you fly a photogrammetry mission.

I mentioned to Phantom 3

I see, o.k.
I don't know about the P3.
I have a P2 for fun and two other systems (1x A2 + 1x WKM) for work, the last two each with iOSD Mark II.
