I am in this forum from 2017 - both at least 5 DJI drones plus some other stuff shared here some ~1000 clips I made ... and I like Mavic 3 to improve clips quality - But cant afford it at the moment

I for sure would wait some time.
Lots of complaints about the M3 right now.

It would be nice if Dji did offer their old customers a discount for being faithful to their brand

the best offer could be to have the possibility to use smartcontroller for the old users....

when You hold a 98% market share Your customers have nowhere to go 2020 I bot EVO 2 Pro - on paper Great drone and really is wonderful machine very good quality BUT full of HW and SW (mostly!) bugs out of lack of experience - I fight with them and eventually got tired and returned to DJI for good

Just browse through the products section.
There are a lot of complaints about a lot of different things. Mainly things that are missing in the Fly app.
But that is very common after a release. (that people are complaining)
My remark is also more general, I would never advise to buy right after a release.
Always wait for some months to have others do the beta testing for you

For some other company, I'll agree with You, Not for DJI - I waited for a year to buy my M2P and arms were scratching the hull the same way as first samples and the price was even higher

Only from 3 orders I work, I can afford a M3 FMC....You, at 1000 clips, should have for 100 M3's...
So...again...what am I missing?

A lot of us on here drone as a hobby. I for one don't do this as a profession but just love flying a drone and when there is a new drone in the market from Dji, i just want it. Like a small kid who likes new toys. We need to spoil ourselves sometimes.

Agree...I remember that i started my company from passion for drones...After only 2 works we signed a contract with an international chain, for all their commercials...Since then, many exclusive contracts were signed and we made some money, but we have lost our pleasure to fly for fun...Was no more time...
So I am glad for you, I remember that feeling..

I put this thread as I saw in dji store a Coupon field, but never saw a Coupon code, so I presume DJI is issuing some discount coupons only never found to whom

Flew it last night trying to get the moon eclipse video. I am amazed at the good quality night shots this drone gives if camera settings are auto, its amazing.

That's great to hear.  I wasn't sure how well it would perform in low light.  Hope your moon eclipse video was a success.  I watched a live stream from NASA and was impressed at the event.

The video had too much noise. We had a lot of clouds so was not all clear.

I keep an EVO Pro 2 with me on all jobs in case my Mavics decide not to fly. I used to bring two of the same model DJI drones for work, now my spare will always be an aircraft that is not geo-locked. I have encountered locked zones that are not listed on DJI fly safe map and are class G and should not be restricted.

I prefer to fly DJI but I can't absolutely rely on them to fly.
