Apparently a DJI firmware update is coming this week or next week .

it will include active track, mastershot etc...
No active track with zoom X7, no active track in D-log..

We will see

What about panoramas? I know you are referring to the live stream given by that beta tester where he claimed an update was "coming soon" but it really isn't clear whether he truly new about a release date.

He got an e-mail from DJI, so he already test this beta firmware .... wait and see :-)

Lets hope it comes sooner rather than later.

Don’t think it matters when it will come, it won’t stop some idiots whining…….

if new firmware comes out before the end of the year and it's 90% goodness then a ton of people should be getting their equipment purchased before the end of the year in order to qualify as a 2021 "beta" tester and get the goodies such as extended warranties and compensation for kits.  personally, i'm looking at the cine.  if new firmware is a go, i will not wait until march but buy now.  i have already bought an additional battery (found at a good price) and i don't even have the drone yet.

There is definitely a new firmware version that was just released to reviewers that has at least some new features in it.  Philip Bloom has a thread in a FB group talking about a new version that his device prompted him to install on his Cine version.  It appears to have at least Active Track, Mastershots, and Hyperlapse.  However, just because reviewers have been given access to this version doesn't necessarily mean us plebes will be getting it imminently.  I guess it does mean that they are far enough along with these features to be confident enough in it to give it out to reviewers, but I guess we'll see what the timeline ends up looking like...

The reviewers have had a firmware release with those features for a while,   what make you think its coming this side of Christmas.

We were battered too yesterday but not as badly as Ireland thats for sure.  No way I was flying in it though.
