So, to be accurate on dates:

How long is Chinese New Year break?
The Chinese New Year of 2022 falls on February 1st (Tuesday), and the festival will last to February 15th, about 15 days in total. 2022 is a Year of the Tiger according to Chinese zodiac. As an official public holiday, Chinese people can get seven days' absence from work, from January 31st to February 6th.

Window then is 1/22 through 1/31

My biggest concern is that make a push to finish before the NY, making cuts and mistakes in the process, then deploy it super close to NY, and then we’re plagued with the possibly totally malfunctioning product and all the support people is on PTO for a week or two.
Not comparing the actual consequences, but that’s how the infamous Chernobyl happened: party bureaucrats pushed for May 1st festivities, ignoring safety, physics and common sense.

I do not have access to DJI finances, but it would really interesting to see if they made enough moolah on selling the underdeveloped product to justify probably the biggest hit on their reputation in the recent years with is gonna cost them for years to come…

This launch would have surely hurt them but I doubt by much. Currently not even Autel, who is supposed to be their direct competition, matches up to Dji. Autel drones have amazing camera and no NFZ but that is just where it stops. Dji beats them in everything else.

But will you, or anybody who suffered through this launchmare,  be making any new upcoming DJI product purchase early, before making sure the production is solid, ever?
Speaking for myself, probably not…
Don’t get me wrong, I love being an early adopter. But I don’t like to be a Guinea pig.

Nope, not ever again. Through all the Mavic I have owned, I always waited for 3 to 6 months before buying but got the Air2S on launch and it was perfect so I assumed that the Mavic 3 would be same, was wrong. I will still buy Dji products( Mavic only) when they come out but will now adopt my previous stance as to wait for a few months then buy.

I will never buy new release from DJI again. I’m graduating soon with UAS degree and was hoping to start working with mavic 3 now im seriously thinking of buying phantom 4pro v2 because I can’t wait around for my mavic 3 to catch up.

Oh not to mention I bought air 2 about two months before the surprise release of air 2s. I would have waited if I knew

I read somewhere the 17th of Jan,  but Im not holding my breath on that.

In my opinion, if we get it any time before before 23:59 on January 31st this month we should all be pleasantly surprised.  Anybody upset or disappointed with not getting it before then is setting their expectations inappropriately.

Did you notice some shaky footage on 5.1 k 50??

Also noticed that the drone horizone is falling when you fly the drone forward. If thos happened on sport mode - no words, but in normal or even in cone mode....

Air 2S was an ideal drone although the picture not cinematic and a lot if moire....

I've seen many people in FB groups and forums like these continuously quoting January 22nd.  Just trying to be the voice of reason.  I actually do hope it comes on the 22nd, but honestly, I wouldn't mind if it slipped in February as long as they bring everything that we want/need to make it into the best drone on the market we all know it can be.
