My wife took him out this morning. She's on a charity 5000 steps a day kick. She did 7800 yesterday and most of them with the dog. He's only a Westie and was in a coma by 1900 last night

Not surprised. I wonder how many "steps" that was for the dog?  Considering his little legs and that he has four, he must have done upward of 30,000!

Ive done well recently to not attract any,  although I was flying along the river with headphones in when I realised someone was shouting at me,   took out the bud and turned to find a dog at my feet and the owner shouting at the dog and not me.

Most are OK. I was having a quick blast in the field last week. Bloke and a Bull Terrier walking past me not a minute after I took off. Dog loved it and the owner just walked on on his phone. Ran the dog to death. It was hilarious. He didn't mind, as the dog was getting some free exercise.
