They should have had the foresight to build it bigger in the first place.
From day one when it opened it was obviously inadequate for the number of students.
Now, four years later it's costing twice as much.

Poor planning, and false economy.
Even as the new block was being built it was obviously not big enough.
Now the cost of necessary expansion is spiraling.

Really like the background music, takes me back a few years.  

It seems that school districts worldwide are bad at planning for future student population.  Also, for the most part they are traditionally underfunded.  Not sure about in the UK but here in the states being a Teacher is the lowest paying job that requires a 4 year degree plus teacher certification.

Hi RDB.  My grandson helped me with the original video and music choice. He was one of the first intake to the new block back then, and so had a keen interest in the development.
I think a lot of the views the video got were down to his classmates

That's the village we lived in before France.  Daughters both still live nearby.  Lots of development and new housing, but no improvement to the road infrastructure. Traffic chaos daily.

The first proposal for a Bypass at Longdendale was in 1949  - I kid you not.
Still waiting to this day.
