Hi folks.  Can someone please help me with a question so I don't submit a DJI Care insurance claim needlessly?  A couple of days ago I was using my drone to inspect the top of my sailboat mast while at anchor.  (This by the way, is an excellent business case for drones because sailboat owners routinely need to check their masts and getting up there isn't easy.)

Anyway, I was careless and the drone contacted part of the rigging for the mast, spun out of control and dropped into the ocean.  It sunk instantly and I wasn't able to retreive it.

As a new drone driver I purchased the DJI insurance and  I'm wondering if I can claim this or if I just have to file it under "stupid misake."  Thanks for any input/advise you can provide.

Hi Doogmeister, I feel sorry to read about your case, if your drone is a Mini 2 and you have bound the drone to flyaway coverage, you can claim a flyaway service within  DJI Care Refresh validity period.
Please start a flyaway request at https://repair.dji.com/repair/index?site=brandsite&from=nav and we will follow it up accordingly.

Susan,  I followed the link you provided and started to apply but this screen came up instructing me NOT to apply as there is a quicker way.  I'm unsure what to do next...

Susan, I made a request under DJI Care express as I purchased that service and I paid the $50 in advance.  Only problem is it is asking me to send the drone back and I can't because it's at the bottom of the ocean.  Is my case going to be stuck waiting for me to return the drone?  I trust I won't lose my $50 fee.

My case number is: CAS-8901921-S1B8W5

Thanks for any help you can provide.
