Cool find, a few weeks ago I went to Laguna beach and tried to find a shark or even just a fish with my Mavic 3 but sadly I couldn’t.

Thank you, I've had my drone over the ocean a few times, this is the first time I've ever spotted something.

Definitely not. There was like 5 shark attacks around that area last summer.

Thats just too scary.   

Nice catch.    Not often you see a shark on the surface.  I see them all the time while scuba diving, but usually more prevalent below the surface.

Thank you, this was the first time I have ever caught something on the surface. That must be pretty frightening coming across them wile scuba diving!

You're very welcome.     From my personal perspective most, not all, sharks are just inquisitive.  They love to circle you to see if you are a meal or what.  Usually, after 1 or 2 circles then they swim off.  I respect them but am always prepared if I have to defend myself.

How do you defend yourself, do you carry a harpoon or something like that?

First, I never dive alone.  When I dive I always carry a spear gun or spear pole and never without my diving knife which has a 12" blade.  I would use only if I get attacked.  It also helps to be able to identify the different types of sharks.  White, tiger and bull sharks are responsible for the vast majority of human bitings.  

I just always remember that I am the one encroaching in their habitat and do my best to try not to attract them and definitely not provoke them.  Most of the time they are just curious to see a diver.

And that ladies & gentlemen is why the desert area is so attractive.
