The Old Quarry......
This site,  formily a RAF base in WW2 appears to now be stripped of gravel and being slowly turned into a series of lakes.

I love cenital shots. They are hard to get (the good ones). This one is definetly one of the good ones.

Should mature into great wetlands when it matures. Lots of natural habitat for waterfowl and the like.

I need to check but I dont think there is any right of way through the area so it might be more fishing lakes or something private.

Last I saw the water was very cobalt blue which makes me wonder if there is a lot of minerals that might keep the wild life away for many years.

I may be back that way week after next so I will see if I can get a better look.   Last time I flew the mini there I had terrible reception even though its the middle of nowhere.

Another interesting one DAF. Still not sure how you have the time to find all this stuff.
