I always think those sort of videos are horrible and rather sad if people like watching them. I have not and don't watch that sort of thing and I would hope others feel the same

I agree but sometimes it is nice to watch the mistakes others make so we learn from them.

Remind me NEVER to use Active Track.

It works well when used responsibly. Some pilots don't understand that it has limitations and expect it to just avoid everything.

Doing another activity like cycling or driving whilst the drone is following, must mean that the Op is not watching the drone, either. And is probably not in full control of it.
A recipe for disaster.

Thats very true. I personally have never had a drone follow my car, thought about it many times but why?? Following me while I cycle, yes I have done that but always keep the drone behind me and set it higher than most obstacles and I always cycle in open areas most of the time.

My wife constantly reminds me that I cannot do two things at once, which is warning enough for me

Just as a matter of interest, and assuming that the pilot was a passenger rather than the driver, does anyone else think that driving the truck so slowly ( 1st clip) constitutes dangerous driving? I.e another car, travelling in the same direction as the grey truck, could have come around the bend, at the same speed as the black car, and been confronted with the grey truck obstructing the carriageway?

active track vs the bus.. everyting would be okay, but you always need co-pilot, you can't be a pilot  and the active track target at the same moment IMO

The heck it would, a few feet lower and it could have gone through the windscreen, that was the worst of the lot, I hope transport Canada goes after the guy. That clip at least is old and from memory flown in Canada.

You don't have to like watching them but sometimes it is worth watching as there are many things to learn or be reminded of not do do.  Just saying.

Hey Tony, Yeah too many pilots issues. Helps others learn.

I doubt newbies would learn anything from them because it is so easy to fly a drone. Of course, there is flying a drone and understanding what can so easily go wrong, with no piloting skills.
How hard can it be... OOPS! who put hat tree there?

Sideways flight without making sure ahead is clear is just asking for it.

And that classic cyclist in the housing estate crashing into the school bus.  Activetrak not activeavoidance.
