Hi, I have been a beta tester for the last firmware of the Phantom 3, so I received the firmware V01.03.0012 to conduct the testing. Now it is available the firmware V01.03.0020 that is a stable version, but when I try to update the firmware of my Phantom 3 Advanced, the updating process of the aircraft doesn't start and the TXT log file contains the following messages:

The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.


What is wrong with it? Should I consider the beta firmware V01.03.0012 just identical to tha last released V01.03.0020 stable firmware?

Its because the firmware' are exactly the same, nothing changed.. Mine was the same, although I did need to updater the RC..

you can see that in the comment number #29947 it is shown a log file where the aircraft (a Phantom 3 Professional instead of an Advanced model) was successfully updated from V01.03.0012 to V01.03.0020 ...

Maybe something changed in the  firmware of the P3 Professional and nothing changed in the Advanced version?

Have you tried a downgrade first, followed by the upgrade?

The logs on the RC groups site shows only the battery was updated, not the P3 body..

If you have more than one battery then it will update them if needed if you leave the firmware on the card. I have a new one never used and that was updated but as far as the P3 firmware, the beta is the same and does not update.

try this..first go back to downgrade version 1.19 and let it run for a while, than do a clean new install for the newest version 1.03

Sploodge, you seem to be the guy with the right answers... im having issues updating the latest P3S firmware 1.3.50. Keep getting errors while uploading it to the bird. I tried looking for the update package on my phone to do it manually with no success, the "PC\Galaxy S6\Phone\DJI\dji.pilot\Upgrade\DLPackage" is empty. The upgrade sometimes stops at 0% and some others at 24%. I have control of the bird but no signal red square on top, and no signal from the camera. Already tried downloading the app again, binding the RC again, etc. ANy help????

Hi,

I don't have much experience with the Standard but I believe the latest firmware is available from DJI via this link - https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _FW_V01.03.0050.bin

Sounds like it may be having issues transferring the firmware to the SD of the P3S. Done sit do the update beeps at all?

Copy this to the to the root of the SD card and pop it in the P3S. Power it on and see what it does.

Just like the P3A and P3P, a log file should be generated in a hidden folder on the SD called MISC/LOG
