I cannot seem to activate active track on my dji mini 3 (+rc pro)

I am pretty new to the dji mini 3 so I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I feel like I have gone through all the settings and looked online a lot and cant seem to find a solution...
I get a message which says "unable to use focus track in current recording format". So, I thought I'd check the recording formats.I read online that you cannot activate active track in cinelog, so I tried normal mode also.

I tried in 4k60fps + cinelog, 4k24fps + cinelog, 4k60fps + normal, 1080p 24fps + normal.
None of these modes allowed me to activate active track or allow me to select the auto find subjects (I forget exactly what this is called).

Am I missing something?

RC pro firmware: 01.01.0100
DJI Mini 3 firmware: 1.6.9

Need to ask but what you trying to track? as it only allows tracking vehicles or people. Reason i am asking as i was trying to active track top of a building before lol.

Hi I tried to track myself, the ground, and some contrasty details which were not animals or humans. However, the error message I get indicates there is something wrong with the recording settings I am using rather than the subject I am trying to track (I think?)

Do you get any message pop up at all?

Okay, so I tried this again and for some reason it worked this time. Its a little strange since I didnt change anything since last time, but I'm not sure why.
Anyway, I tested on 4k60fps which didn't work, I dropped it to 30fps and it worked. I turned on cinemode and it still worked.

The settings I finished with was 4k30fps cine

Vertical for example wasn't possible before...

Ive been running RC 01.01.0300 (latest) and Flysafe 01.00.01.27 (latest) before I started this thread and have only ever tried tracking in horizontal mode. Still no idea what is different

1.6.9 isn't the Mini 3 Pro Firmware, but the Fly App...!!!

01.00.0201 is the FW you should use...

I have exactly the same problem than novastorm.
The POI doesn't work with 4K60fps recording format.
I receive this message : "Unable to use focus track in current recording format"
If I set 4K30fps I am able to activate the POI.
I use the latest FW.

Same with obstacle avoidance - not enough processing power left when recording at 60fps.

I’m also having same issues that no video setting will work with active track on my Mavic 3 Cine. However, your posts have given me hope it’s just a glitch! Will try again today… fingers crossed I can shoot in RAW too!

Lower the frame rate to 25-24 because it won't A/T at 50 or 60 fps "frames per second".
