Day 2 of a six day photography road trip.

If you travel to NZ you must visit Central Otago but take your time, it's slow pace but lots to soak in and no one is around...

Thanks Downtown!! It is/was... present/past tense gets a bit distorted on social media as have been back for about 3 weeks :-)

Just dodged out for a quick flight to check out the M2Zoom. Only in the air for 5 minutes and a few drops of rain came down, so I got the bird back pretty sharpish.
Now it's stopped again. The weather is taunting me

We reached 40 degrees Celsius - which is unknown for these parts. 72 hours of that was enough

That's like living in OZ for 72 hours... agreed that would be enough. Remember being on the Gold Coast once and it was ridiculously hot and we had found refuge in one of those motorway malls. I remember when we left the mall and the doors opened and we ran to the car... it was like running through hot liquid air... a very weird experience.

I can only imagine. Whilst we were living in France, it would get into the high thirties in July/August, and occasionally rise into the low forties. The only option was to stay indoors with the shutters closed and the windows open, to get a current of air through the house.
Air conditioning hadn;t really caught on there at that time.

For sure.  Happily the UK is normally much cooler.  Just 17 degrees today for example.
