Nice find!  I have the rode wireless and I will try connecting it with an adapter and see if it works.  Could theoretically capture better audio.

I need to get a USB C to 3.5 audio adapter for my Rode Microphone and give that a try.  

I bought one of these.  Couldn't quite bring myself to £200 on a rode

I did try that but couldn't make it work.  However, I'm sure there must be something wrong with my adapter, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I have successfully used an Apple iPhone 3.5mm headset and the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.
Would be nice if audio recording level could be set, as others have noticed the audio levels are quite low.
Also used a Rode VideoMic ii with the TRS-TRRS adapter, unfortunately no luck at all with the USB-C cable connection.

I tried again and it works.  For some reason I had the impression the audio was saved as part of the LowRes cached video, but it's actally the Screen Capture feature from Android.

Just make sure you use the menu from the top and enable it from there.

He sounded pretty tinny, but it was workable.  Thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone used any El Cheapo mics, please?, im not even sure if i will ever need to use this feature or if i will even want to, i hate the sound of my own voice lol but hey, ya never know, i may have to explain something one day...

Appreciate the review and sounds ok. I decided on the Lawyamai wireless microphone that does the same thing except wireless obviously.
