It would be nice to be able to choose both. I've voted for Android but after few days obtained iPad Air 2, because of the screen size. I was happy with my LG G3 but I preferred to use it only as phone

Use a Dual GPS for Ipads that don't have cellular. It works great. It has a 70ft range. I can give it to my kid while he is riding his bike and the phantom will follow him while I control from the side walk! I have tried both Android and Apple. I love Litchi and will stick with Android for now. But it Litchi chooses to support Apple, then it is Air/2 all the way.

The Nexus 7 2013 rooted and over-clocked CPU and GPU works great. If you change video feed to 4mps you get smooth video with no lag. Plus, it's $150.00 bucks!

I use Nexux 7 by Asus, with Android 6, no problem what so ever, however I'm using this Nexus mainly and only for my P3P, no games or anything else in it, Rock-solid. Have been using it for nearly 4 months now and the only thing I regret, the size of the screen, would be nice if it had been a 9.2 or 10" instead, well one day perhaps. ...

Android of course.....

I like the power of tuning my phone, hack, modified, and not be told to do this and that......

Real man, tune their machines!

Serious, i use Phone Oppo Find 7, with kit kat, Service Google Play on factory mode, and hack for 33 channels.

Sometimes crashes, but must be DJI collecting my data...and control what i do

I was using my Galaxy Note 5...felt that it was glitchy and it crashed my phone quite often.  And I had to set it to developers mode and had to change the USB mode everytime...and it's a pain cuz sometimes it won't select when I change my USB function, and did I mention it crashed my phone every 3rd time I change the USB function????

Went and started using my iPad Air 2...liked that a lot more, so I went out and bought an iPad Mini 4 for it the other day.  Liking the iOS a lot more than the Android...a lot smoother...

I have a P3A and I tried several Apple devices along with Android ones. My I-phone 6 and my Galaxy 6S both worked great but was a little small to view, so I tried a couple older I-pads and a newer LG and one other newer android tablet. You need to be careful about getting something with good processor speed and some RAM. After trying all of the mentioned above and reading a lot on the forums, I settled on a Nvidia Sheild. Fast processor and 1GB of RAM and it works perfectly. I just upgraded yesterday to the latest android version 6.0.1 I have the latest FW version from April 7, 2016 off DJI's website for the copter and RC, and latest DJI-Go app version. I have absolutely no issues with any of it. I am very pleased with the video with the Sheild. The others were choppy like has been mentioned. I did disable most of the apps on it but I do still have Google services on and a couple other apps. Anyway, I am not a big Apple fan and really didn't want to spend a bunch for an I-pad of any kind....they can get really costly.

sorry but your experience is not universal and I have 3 android devices that work PERFECTLY fine

I think most folks mention Samsung when they have android issues---and Samsung does a lot of "custom" work to its android version.

also Many others have issues with apple products, depending on version, age etc. especially heat.

All mine and are Motorola with straight android with no overlay and never had 1 problem.

I haven't tried any Apple devices, but I have tried 4 different Androids...Galaxy S3, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Tab4A and Lenovo A8-50F.  The S3 and the Tab4A worked the best, Tab4A only being better due to the much larger screen.  S3 worked fine, but the screen is so small it isn't useful at all.  The Galaxy Mega worked okay until I got about 200 or 300 ft away, then it got really choppy and even locked up.  The worst was the Lenovo A8-50F, it was choppy at about 50 to 100 ft, it got real slow in response to anything on the DJI GO app, and it locked up then crashed multiple times.  The S3 and the Mega have KitKat (version 4.4) and the Lenovo and Tab4A both have Lollipop (version 5.0.1) I am running DJI Go version 2.0 or higher on all of them.  I plan on trying some Apple devices later, and I ordered one of those Windsurfer Antenna Boosters as well...others on this forum said they helped with both range and video quality, for $30 what can it hurt, right?

I want to share that i also have lenovo tab 2 a8-50 and it alo crashes my certain apps. But then what i read in Lenovo TAB 2 A8-50 Manual is that the major reason behind application crashing is insufficient storage space i phone. So try to clear miscellaneous files, cached data and useless data and applications.

I think if you spend more time on the various forums that Android issues outweigh Apple ones. I'm OS agnostic, but the lack of a standard on Android is more the problem IMHO, with different manufacturers loading different skins, etc. I have a really nice Samsung Tab S cellular that by all accounts should run fine, but the reality is that Samsung's TouchWiz interface simply kills it.
