I just put my remote controller on the computer and it say that a upgrade available;
5.8G Transmitter firmware:
v1.0.2.31
What is new?
only for the new remote control:
indicator led will blink PPM line in connect
Application:
Phantom 2 vision/Vision+/Phantom

But I don't know what is the PPM and what is for?

So I don't know if I should upgrade it or not?

PPM is shot for "pulse position modulation", it means the way signal pulses be encoded..
And the PPM line is used for transmitting.
Am i wrong? That's my own understanding.

Yes correct, its a unique coded transmission preventing interferance from other sources.
