I run both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks in my home.  The DJI RC controller has no problem connecting to either one, but my RC-PRO controller doesn't see the 5Ghz network at all.  Is this normal?

Is your controller set to use both networks?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble that this has caused. Can you please take a screenshot of the settings under transmission on your DJI RC Pro? Please try to set it as "Manual" and check if you can now see the 5Ghz transmission. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

It doesn't detect the 5G network.  I don't see a way to turn on/off 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency radios in the controller (or any other android device for that matter).  It simply doesn't detect that there are 5Ghz networks available.

I've tried manually entering the SSID, but it still complains that the network can't be found.
Is it possible that my two network names are too similar??  The only difference is that the 5Ghz one has an extra "5" at the end of its SSID.

Please describe how to navigate to the 'transmission' page of the RC-PRO?  I know that there is a page with that title within the Fly app (if connected to a drone), but I am not familiar with any such page within Android.

By the way, here's an old post of another user who was also not seeing 5GHz networks: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... 393&pid=2653479

He solved his problems by updating to 03.01.05.00.  I'm running 03.01.09.00 so that's not going to help me...

Sorry for the late response. Kindly please click the 3 dots on the upper right-hand corner of the main screen and click transmission. Under transmission, click the Channel Mode to "Manual" then set the frequency to 5.8Ghz (this only applies if the area is capable of using the 5.8Ghz transmission signal) you may see a graph below when you scroll down. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

I am still having this problem as well.

DJI Paladin...It has nothing to do with the DJI Fly app.  The problem is that the host device Android OS is not finding any 5GHz wifi networks.  These images show the RC Pro network page, and my Andoir phone's network page.  The 'tenetn5' network is on 5GHz, but the other 2 are 2.4GHz.  The RC Pro isn't offering me the option to connect to tenetn5 (or any other 5GHz network).

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the DJI RC Pro does not support the 5.1G frequency band. Thank you for your understanding and support.

I reset the network settings (System > Reset Options) and was able to finally connect to the 5Ghz wifi network.

Thanks so much - that is very helpful!
DJI RC Pro Wi-Fi Specs:  Operating Frequency [1] 2.400GHz-2.4835 GHz; 5.725-5.850 GHz

The specs for 802.11 on 5GHz cover spectrum from from 5.03Ghz (channels 7 5.03-5.04GHz and channel 8 5.03-5.05 GHz) all the way up to 5.99Ghz (channel 196 5.97-5.99GHz)

Only channels 149 (5.735-5.755GHz) up to 161 (5.795-5.815GHz) operate in the range that the RC Pro is compatible with.

my DJI RC Pro found my router within seconds after I changed my router's 5GHz channel to be within this range (Channel 153 in my case)

I haven't tried that, but... What would be the point of that?  The RC Pro doesn't have an internet connection to share with clients.

Well, thats not true. If you connect it to WiFi you can share this. But the reason Im asking is that after recent software update my RC PRO doesnt see any 5ghz networks and also not able to create hotspot. Before the update all was working like a charm. Just worry if there is something wrong with radio and may affect controling the drone.

Just reset network settings on your RC

Seem like you are talking about the wifi connection, not the dual band in the fly apps. Does it really matter if it is 2.4 or 5.0? Mine sometime doesn't detect. I just reboot router and wait 10-20 mins then try again. You won't even notice internet speed 2.4 vs 5.0. Not sure why 5.0 is a must to connect to. I used 2.4 and it's just as faster as 5.0. I can't even tell the speed difference.

It should work as specified by DJI, even if you don't always need it...
