Hi all,

It is not much of an issue, but still...
I like to fly with the compass on and I noticed flying the "2" that it was directly in the compass mode and not first in the map icon or map.

The "3" however, or the DJI RC controller?, starts up with the map icon.
Of course you can select the map and the compass from there but still I would like it if I could do something to keep it in compass mode...

It's the RC with the embedded screen.

I use no memory card in there, would it save configuration if I would for instance?

I'm seeing the same behavior on my DJI RC controller.  Would be nice if there was a way to select it to default to compass mode vice map.

Then it may be a DJI RC thing…

The DJI RC with an SD card also doesn't remember that setting or the placement of the histogram.

It sure is.  Also, like DAFlys points out it doesn't remember where you place the histogram.  There are definitely a few tweaks that could be made to the Fly App.

It should but I guess it is a limitation of the App at present.

Interestingly, Fly App on Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra retains map but not histogram location.  

+1 the app needed to remember for both the Radar and the Histogram

That also disturbs me. Same with Wifi. I set to enable automatically but it doesn't.

Yesterday I tried tracking one of the cars and at some point I wanted to update my homepoint to match the controller. Just because the bird lost track and I wanted to bring her in to where I was the easiest way imo. RTH, updated home that is.

I had no way to update the homepoint for there was no map.
I think because it had not connected WiFi to my smartphone’s hotspot.

Sounds like what you experienced.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by the inability to update the homepoint because of that (probably).
Somehow I also did not get connected quickly either.

You don't need the "map" to set controller as homepoint. Open the "update home point" tab then open that map view and choose the controller icon. Make sure that both controller and drone have gps lock before taking off. Check this by both icons being present.

Tried exactly that.
But had no map (think because of no internet connection) and than it simply does not work

Last time I flew (with new DJI RC software update), the compass did come up directly.

It seems this issue is resolved
