Hi,

Every time I turn the controlled on its in Normal mode, but the button is slid to the left showing Cine.

I have to switch to Normal then back to Cine for it to enter Cine mode.

Is this normal?

Yes, it's completely normal. It is a safety feature to prevent starting in Sport mode.

Just a reminder that the DJI Drone will take off in Normal Mode regardless of the switch position ( if the remote is on Cine or Sports mode ) at takeoff, which is normal and how DJI has programmed its DJI Drones for additional safety feature and you can change to your desired mode after launching.
