More than a year has gone by and I have tried reaching out to DJI via Twitter, email, support, everything, and they are yet to answer.

How the F*** do I fix this gimbal? It was a software update more than a year ago that it stopped working. I can't roll it back, I can't see where to check if there's a new update and I'm so utterly dissapointed. I've scoured forums, done everything everyone has suggested and I even bought a new phone thinking perhaps my iPhone 8+ was too old or something.

I'm absolutely gutted. I pulled less than 20 hours worth of footage out of this thing, never dropped it, always powered it off and never had it strong winds.

I wish I'd shared my frustration with my wife because she bought be a Mini 2 drone for our holiday last month and whilst I admit I've have had an absolute blast making videos with that instead, I had decided that I was not going to invest in DJI any further. I thought I'd dig out this gimbal one more time and make this post in an effort to limit my contribution to landfill.

If anyone has the ear of the support team directly, PLEASE send them to this thread so I can find a resolution.

The plastic shoulder in the gimbal weighs 34.7g so I doubt it is causing a problem for the gimbal balance, unlike my phone it comes half way round and then stops completely.

My glasses case weighs about 120g made of of felt and card paper.

It does EXACTLY what you can see in the two videos I showed already.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max is much heavier than my iPhone 8+ which is why I have used my glasses case because it is similar weight.

Phone balance error, but the back of the phone literally has scratches on it showing the centre mark for the gimbal. It’s the only thing this phone is used for.

Check the uploads again. Why are you making me do these things when this looks like a common problem with this device? The problem is not user error.

If the error was truly because the phone was off balance, I think that a 30g plastic cartridge would not be a problem.

Sorry for your inconvenience. We just want to see what actually happens when you mount your phone on the gimbal. You may screen record the error message when you enter DJI Mimo App.
