Has anyone come across a 360 degree camera that could possibly be mounted on the Inspire 1, perhaps under the battery? Looking for a solution soon, including selling off the Inspire and moving to an American-based drone, well, at least a drone from a company that cares about its customers.

The Inspire 1 Camera can spin 360° so not sure what you mean.   

You can't spin it constantly in circles but I think it goes about 500° or so before you have to come back the other way.

Or is this what you mean, a gimbal you can spin forever in the same direction?   Not sure one exists.

But that's misleading.   For example, if I start with it fully spun to one side I can then go the other way for a full 640°.     

In other words it returns to zero and then continues to spin another 320°.

So if you want to spin around in the same direction twice just pin it to one side before starting and you're gold.

yeah, that's absolutely right

If you are looking for a camera that will do panos, look no further than at your Inspire.

Third party pano shooting software is in beta at the moment. And it works very very well.

A product I've pre-ordered (I know, will I ever learn...) is giroptic.  It may be better suited for a phantom 2, but I'm sure an enterprising individual could make a mount for it on the inspire with little difficulty or destruction.

It uses a standard screw-in camera mount and can be controlled wirelessly.  They have also worked with hexo to sell their drone with the giroptic camera.

For this camera, you're likely still a half year off of it arriving in stores (they're about to start their production batches  - first to kickstarter backers, then to pre-orders, then finally to stores)
