I visited a derelict prison,  and found this.......

I obviuously timed my visit a little wrong.

This is a derelict prison????  I'm assuming since there are cars there at each building that this must have been staff quarters.

No, the prison has been demolished and those new properties built.  I messed up the timings big time.

Growing ups we would walk past that site and the prisoners would be backing the windows and screaming,  it was a woman's prison and very odd.

No doubt about the wet trees and sucking the signal down.  I had that happen a few times but was worse when I still had the old Mini but it had a bad signal range to begin with.

About 9 months too late,    I had seen a video of urban explorers on there 11 months ago and I assumed it still would have been there.  But sadly I was wrong.

Oh, that was exactly what I felt yesterday when I found out that the old building I wanted to capture was no longer there.....

Id gone there for two reasons,  one the prison and secondly the woods,  I had high hopes it would be lovely and autumnal.

I may have a train shot too,    need to fire up Lightroom and take a look.    Kicking myself that raw got turned off on the last firmware update and I only noticed today when I got home.

I had a think the other day where I took a shot and actually didnt take the shot at all,  sounds like the fly app isn't sending all the instructions to the drone properly.

Yes since I heard it was still derelict 11 months ago,  they have completely redeveloped the site,  I was 11 months too late.

It does look like it.
I think it is the same thing that happens to my feed sometimes.
It does stop very briefly.
But very often.
So maybe it also 'very often' does not receive the input.

Not much prison to see. Interesting how the fences meet.

Hey DA, glad that your "timing" was off becuase here in the USA, if you fly over a open prison, expect a knock on the door.  LOL, Regardless, those are some great shots!

Its the same here Cacike47 but this one was derelict for abut 5 years and the NFZ no longer is in effect.  Also here we can fly outside a prison legally just not over it,  so this flight would still have been possible.

That's good to know DA and let me say that old prison grounds depicted a more humane perspective towards those incarcerated. Here in the US, you wouldn't see grass and trees near our prisons, at least not in the big ones. HFTA!

The escapes usually headed for the woods when the escaped,   but as the exit to the woods is by a pub the prison guards in there socialising would be called to head them off.
