Conisbrough has a great viaduct, now a foot and bike bridge, and a rather different castle.
The viaduct is 465 m long and up to 35 m high, finished 1909, closed for trains 1966.
The castle dates mostly from the late 12th century and sports a rather unique tower design.

Beautiful footage Depp.    I've seen lots of castles but the design of this castle's tower is very, very unique.  I'm going to do some research on it and see what may have influenced that design.

I had done a bit of research since seeing the castle this AM.  Found out Hamelin Plantagenet was widely regarded to be the designer and builder of Conisbrough Castle. The article talked about the unique design but never mentioned anything more in depth about what inspired the shape.
