I video with my drone, but have no idea how to edit any of the videos. What do you all use for editing software? Is it simple? Is it free?

Check out DaVinci Resolve it has a free tier and there are lots of good tutorials on how to use it.

Davinci Resolve version 18 from Black Magic has a free full-function version for non-commercial use. It's a bit of a steep learning curve but well worth the time you'll invest in mastering it.
