It's easy to forget to start recording. It would be nice to have configuration option, whic when enabled starts recording after take off. This would be usefull for both aircraft as well as screen recording.

+1 (again) Agreed, this would be most useful, i am human (allegedly) and therefore forgetful at times, no one is perfect despite what wome will lead you to believe. Sadly this option has been requested that many times and should be doable, it makes you wonder why it hasnt been added.
