Hello

So I have just unboxed and charged everything - when connecting the app it stated that a firmware update was needed and to my surprise after a few mins and lots of beeping and buzzing it said it was completed.  Ahead of my delivery I had been doing some research and this seemed to suggest that you had to remove the card plug into computre etc etc....

Is this due to the new app update that has just come through?

I am using iphone 6 using Ios 9.0 beta 3 GJI GO and a Phantom 3 standard

The go app will update the RC firmware via the app. However you still need to update the bird and all your batteries too using the SD slot on the gimbal.

Like said, you still need to update the Phantom itself.. Follow step 2 and 3 here - http://www.phantompilots.com/thr ... using-dji-go.50065/

Thanks Guys I will look at doing this then - the bit that had me confused was when I updated the firmware from the phone - the bird was making all the noises that have been featured in the videos where you take the card out - so it does this when you update the remote control as well?

Ah, you are running the P3 Standard.. The P3S comes with the latest available firmware for the platform..

You are good to go flying then..
