Hi there, yesterday when landing my dji mini 3 it was windy and it touched a tree and it fell down on the grass from 2 meters hight. So no heavy crash. But now my gimbal is blocked - code 40002 is shown. I can take pics and films, so the camera works, but I can no more move the camera with the controller. The gimbal looks all right and seems to be in shape when moving it by hand. Is there anything I can do? Reset? Or just sending it for repair. Thanks for any advice.

Hi, Oskar_Pipa. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the inconvenience. When a “Gimbal Stuck” warning is shown in the DJI Fly app (error code 40002), the gimbal may be stuck by debris (for example, the aircraft was powered on when it was folded, or the gimbal protector was not removed.). Please check whether there is debris on the gimbal. If yes, clean off them, restart the aircraft, and calibrate the gimbal. Or please try powering off the aircraft and move the gimbal gently at every angle with your hand, and check whether there is any debris in the gimbal. If not, power on the aircraft and calibrate the gimbal.

If the issue persists,  you may consider sending the unit in for a proper diagnosis.  You may submit an online repair request through this link: {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. If you need assistance with creating a ticket, you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support. We understand that this is not the answer that you look forward to, but this would be the best thing to do in this situation. In addition, warranty service can be claimed depending on the result of the Damage Assessment. Your kind understanding is appreciated and thank you for your continued support.

Hi, excellent support. Thanks for the quick response. I would like to calibrate the gimbal - maybe this is the way to solve the problem, because I don't see a mechanic or debris problem. Can you tell me how to calibrate? Is there a link I could follow? Thanks in advance.

Hi, maybe you can still help me as I would have to use the drone these days... I would like to calibrate the gimbal but can't find an instruction. The point is: the gimbal doesn't react at all on the contoller - nothing. But the camera works. So there is no connection between controller and gimbal. Everything seems ok  and no dirt. I would be really thankful. Maybe it is an easy thing to reactivate the gimbal. Otherwise I will send the drone in. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Oskar_Pipa. Thank you for the update. Please go to DJI Fly and tap Go Fly> Settings (••• on the upper right side of the image transmission) > Control > Gimbal Calibration to calibrate the gimbal. Make sure that the drone is on a flat surface before calibrating the gimbal. Hope this will resolve the issue. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

If not please an online repair request through this link: {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Is there any error prompt or code related to the IMU calibration. If so, please share it with us. Kindly ensure the drone is placed on a horizontal plane during calibration. If it is on standby for a long period of time, power it off and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then, power it on for calibration. Then, ensure that the firmware has been updated successfully.

Should the problem continue, kindly provide us with a video of your calibration process for assistance.
