What’s new?

• Added auto power off feature for receiver. The receiver will power off automatically if disconnected from transmitter for more than 30 minutes.
• Added LED off option for transmitter. Go to TX Settings > LED Brightness > Off to turn off the transmitter LED and reduce the light affect during recording.
• Fixed issue: transmitter audio data was occasionally lost when recording for a long time.
  

Notes:

• When the firmware is updated, the settings of DJI Mic will be restored to default.
• If the firmware fails to update, restart the transmitter and receiver and try again. Contact DJI Support if the firmware update fails again.
  

I think you mean 'new firmware' right? Not 'new DJI Mic' ?

Finally, only took 7 months to get a FW update.

You're right and that was my initial though when I read the title.  I was getting a bit riled since I bought the MIC not that long ago and was thinking a new MIC already.  Actually, it was time for a FW upgrade as it had been at least 7 months from previous update.

The title truly is misleading. But nice to see that we get the firmware updates. Hoping they add USB-C connection compatibility with the Osmo Pocket and Pocket 2 next.

I do.  I bought it shortly after it came out.  One of my grandsons had a school project that required making a VLOG so I loaned it to him and his VLOG teammates.  Now that I think about it he still has it.

Yes, 2 transmitters, 1 receiver and a really nice charging case.

My grandson said his project team was wowed by the performance of the DJI Mic system.

Yes, I agree on that part.
And it is not stereo.
For speech this is not an issue, but for field recordings, this can be.
I thought about using it for that (making field recordings) but I like those in stereo.

I am quite happy myself with the DJI Mic, has worked great so far for me. Also happy that they do release firmware updates for it. Just wishing they would add the USB-C support for the Pocket 2. Would solve the mounting problem and remove the need for an extra audio cable. Other than that, no complaints from me. Yesterday I even thought I could use it to setup a new online chat arrangement for gaming on my PC. With attaching the DJI Mic receiver to my PC, attaching the transmitter to my shirt and outputting the audio through my audio receiver connected to my computer, I could keep on chatting even when taking a trip to my fridge during game pauses

It's the mics themselves. They are mono.
And DJI confirmed they only send a mono signal. Whatever mic you connect to them.
I don't have them myself to test, but that will mean you 'only' get stereo like in 2 mics mono.
Not 2x stereo.

Makes sense.  I'll have to test and use them some more to figure out all their capabilities once I get them back from my grandson.

I'm still in doubt.
I want to try doing voice overs. No doubt I can do that with the DJI Mic too.
But I have to figure out if that is 'the best' option.

Yeah, no doubt needs to be the best option as they aren't cheap.  I usually prefer Rode brand but figured I'd give DJI a shot.

Rode or Shure.
Their SM7b is great.
But that is not portable.

Rated a bit higher in the review.  I think if I remember the Rode was 4.8 and the MIC was 4.7

I keep forgetting on worldwide forum that it's not good to use local colloquialisms.  Especially when many words don't translate well across many languages.

Some of the stuff on the forum provide good reminders of things we previously learned but may have forgotten and are pushed back in our memory banks.  It really is a great place to learn and help each other.  Just like a family there is an occasional scuffle.  I remember seeing one thread that had over one hundred replies and 95% were just back and forth stuff.  I'm thinking at that point where are the Mods.

I did the upgrade to new firmware in my Mini 2 and I got problem. The GPS Coordinates in photo metadata is wrong. I'm in the USA and the coordinates show point in China (?????). That's my daily work and I'm loosing money. Please fix it ASAP

There is one field at the Photo Metadata called...Relative Altitude...that is blank. Why not post the altitude that the photo was taken? The Altitude of the dron

One question regarding the DJI Mic - recently, I heard they are now selling a "budget" version of the DJI Mic without the charging case and only one transmitter included. I was wondering if they are selling additional transmitters separately? It could come handy for those who buy the budget set and later on want to upgrade, or for those who have had two transmitters but who have broken or lost their other one.

Does this firmware update address the issue of not being able to do 2 channel recording using an iOS device that has a lightning adapter such as the iPhone 14?  

DJI MIC IS NOT WORKING ON IPHONE 14 -  I bought the DJI mic last month and it worked fine on my iphone but all of a sudden it doesn't capture any audio on my iphone 14 pro max. I've already updated the firmware and it still doesn't work. Someone can help me?

how about a link to the firmware, on your download page Mic is well hidden haven't found it so far
