Mavic Mini not entering pairing mode

My Mavic Mini only has 55min of flight time, 8.66km distance flown and only 12 flights. When i tried to connect my drone to the controller, it would not connect at all. I tried putting it into pairing mode and noticed that it wouldnt go into pairing mode. Instead of the lights doing the wave light show thing like it usualy does, it would just beep and wont go into pairing mode. it just shows its on and thats it.
ive tried many things to fix this problem but nothing has helped.

I have tried doing:
  • updating the controller
  • tried using iphone and samsung
  • full batteries
  • downloading DJI assistance 2
  • bringing it to a DJI store (wasnt actually owned by DJI)
  • tried using Windows 10 and 11


With the DJI Assistance 2 app, ive connected the drone to it but it would disconnect and reconnect like 5 times before the app recognises it but the computer makes the noise when you disconnect a device but the app can still recognise it. The computer will say as a notification that the device is unknown or isnt connected propperly and try again but if it does it again, the device may be broken but it would still connect to the app. I have tried refreshing the version of the current version of the drone which was "V01.00.0600" but when the updating stage was at 100%, it would disconnect and the drone will turn off.

what should i do?

To trigger pairing mode on the drone you switch the drone on, let it boot and then press and hold down the power button for however long it takes to trigger what I think is your "wave", are you doing that press and hold?
I can't comment about any beeps, I am deaf.

With regards to use of the assistant 2, boot the assistant 2 and when it is up and running switch the drone on, from memory you have 15 seconds from drone switch-on to connect the drone to the computer, if you don't connect them quickly enough you need to switch the drone off and on again and connect it to the computer within the 15 sec window.

The above said and assuming you have been doing things correctly, I would remove the mSD card from the drone and see if the controller and drone will connect to one another. If so you probably have corrupt imagery or an inappropriately named file on the mSD card.

I recollect putting a renamed photo onto the card but with a gap in the name, that name/gap stopped the drone from connecting to the controller. From somewhere I also have the impression that imagery's naming must follow the pattern of DJI's naming scheme i.e. if the orginal scheme is DJI_1234.whatever then DJI-1234.whatever or DJI1234.whatever will cause problems.

I have held down the button for 4 seconds which should put it into pairing mode but it doesn't, it just makes a beep sound which it should in the first place but doesn't go into pairing mode.

I have connected the drone to the computer for the app within the 15sec time period but the drone will disconnect and connect a bunch of times randomly and the computer will come up with this



(this is what it says if the picture does upload ^^)

i have removed the SD card when the drone was connected to the computer

i have also checked the file names and i have not changed any and i have also tried a different SD card

I feel it can take longer than 4 second to trigger the pairing mode in my drone, which is why I wrote "for however long it takes to trigger", though I'd suggest 10sec plus indicates a problem.

Also I said "I would remove the mSD card from the drone and see if the controller and drone will connect to one another" I made no reference to removing the card when trying to connect the drone to the computer....though if is a corrupt file on the card that is causing problems then it might not be a bad idea.

Hi, Brayden_L. The V1.9.1 is the DJI Fly app version, not the firmware version of the remote controller. Please try the troubleshooting below:

1. Confirm that the remote controller and the aircraft have been powered on.
Press the Power Button once and then press again and hold to power on the remote controller. The product gives a prompt sound when successfully powered on.
2. Please remove the microSD card from the aircraft and restart it.
3. Switch the linking method between “Linking with the app” and “Linking with combination buttons”. For linking with the combination button method, please refer to: ().
4. If it is invalid, check whether the remote controller has been updated to the latest version. Connect the remote controller to the app. After the connection is successful, check whether there is a prompt to update the firmware. If yes, update the firmware to the latest version and try linking again.
5. If the linking still fails, please check whether the aircraft firmware has been updated to the latest version. Connect DJI Assistant 2 and check the version.

Update to the latest version and try linking. If everything is updated, refresh the firmware then try linking. Please use a different computer and cable if it can't be recognized by the one that you're currently using.
6. If the issue persists,  I'm afraid that you may consider sending the unit in for a proper diagnosis.  You may submit an online repair request through this link: {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. Please make sure your phone with the remote is connected to stable internet and then from your camera view select the 3 dots from the upper left-hand side of your screen. Select "About" and then select "Check for updates" from Aircraft firmware. You can also use the DJI Assistant 2 and download it from your computer. Has anyone been able to fix this? I've gone through similar troubleshooting. Rather than normal pairing sequence, the drone beeps once and flashes red/yellow/green continuously. It doesn't want to connect to pc either... same as person above. Bit annoyed I spent $400+ and only got to fly a few times. Did not notice any issues last time i flyed, just hasnt wanted to work again for a good while in spite of all the troubleshooting.

Has anyone actually ever got their dji mini aircraft to pair. I have just bought a mini 2 SE and am very disapointed in it as I cannot get it to pair. I dont know if my software app is correct as this needs to be downloaded and there maybe different apps out there.

sorry for the super late reply. i actually have not sent my drone in fro a diagnose or repair as i dont know where or how to do it.

i still have not fixed my drone but i do remember that it did flash the colours red, green and yellow for a few seconds but then it only stayed flashing yellow and it did not connect to my controller. you can see what my one does as the youtube video i put above from long ago had the same issue as mine.

sorry for the late reply but this is what i got.

i got the latest version of the dji assistance at the time
i have the original remote that came with the first DJI mavic mini (the original or the first model)

the problem i have is that my drone wont go into pairing mode and i found a youtube video with a simular problem down below



the only difference is that i have the first gen mavic mini and controller. the only difference from my drone to the one in the video is that the drone in the video is a mavic mini 2
