While these two drones share the same name, the reality is that there’s actually quite a bit of difference between them.  

1. Cost of base unit is only $200 difference between Pro and non-Pro
2. Pro has Obstacle Avoidance
3. No Active Track on non-Pro
4. No Spotlight or POI modes
5. No Master Shots on non-Pro
6. Mini 3 Pro has D-Cine, non-Pro doesn't
7. Mini 3 Pro has 10 bit recording
8. Mini 3 Pro can do 4K 60fps, non-Pro only 4K 30fps
9. Mini 3 Pro can do 120fps in slo-mo, non-Pro only 60fps
10. Mini 3 Pro can do burst photos, non-Pro can't
11. Mini 3 Pro can do hyperlapse, non-Pro can't
12. Mini 3 Pro uses Occusync 3.0, non-Pro uses Occusync 2.0
13. Mini 3 Pro streams 1080p to controller, non-Pro streams 720p
14. Mini 3 Pro is compatible with RC Pro controller, non-Pro is not
15. Non-Pro gets about 2 minutes flying time over the Pro version

I would get the pro over the Mini 3

I think it can do AEB photos. (that's a kind of burst photo I would imagine)But no 10 Bit color depth and no hyperlapse really is a pain. Hopefully, DJI can add those in an update???

Nothing wrong with hoping.  They dropped a lot of things from the Pro version to try and get the price down so I'm not sure they will add a lot back when they are hoping many will upgrade to the Mini 3 Pro to get the added features.  

Personally, I'd love to see DJI add waypoints and cruise control to the Mini 3 Pro.  However, I'll probably have to upgrade to the Mavic 3 Classic if I really want them bad enough.

Mini 3 Pro is worth it in my books.

Mini 3 Pro shoots impressive footage but the camera is much better on the Mavic 3 Classic.  Mavic 3 Classic already has waypoints and cruise control so that is a plus also.

Its features make it a great choice for those looking for an easy-to-use drone with advanced capabilities, but I'd still go for Pro.

It's a subjective question, it all depends on budget and what you want from the unit. No right it wrong answer to be fair. Would I buy one? No, but that's because I like some of the additional functions on the pro versions of drones.

Love the Mini 3 Pro, as a newbie, I have yet to even scratch the surface of its capabilities!  Would love to see waypoints and an SDK, like the Mavic 3

I picked up a Mini 3 Pro as a back-up drone to my Air 2S instead of the Mini3 because DJI does not sell it as a standalone package. Otherwise I would prefer the Mini 3.

I think it is sold as a stand-alone package. You can choose the option that excludes the remote.

It may depend on the country,  here the Mini 3 is not available standalone,  but Mini 3 with N1 controller is still much cheaper than Mini 3 Pro standalone.

I think that the best for beginners is to buy the mini 3 fly more combo with the new rc remote, and then
get the mini 3 Pro as a stand-alone.

I wouldn't bother with the Mini 3 standard,  it's too cut down for the money,  if it was cheaper than maybe.

As an only drone to have I think the Pro is the best option.
As a second/ replacement drone, the Mini 3
is a better option maybe.

I was referring to a AIr2s or Mavic 3 as a first drone to have.

you do have a point. By the way, I'm having a slight problem with my mini 3 gimbals making a small rattling noise when I shake the drone slightly. Have you ever had that?

No never. From the 2 mini 3 pros that I owned never had an issue.

By the end of the day, it usually comes to money...all of us would buy the best possible drone if we could..comparing price of mini 3 and mini 3 pro, I bought mini 3 fly more combo for 688€ while mini 3 pro + controller dji rc-n1 costs 859€ and add to that batteries, bag etc. + 199€, we come to the price of 1058€ which is difference of 370€~400$ )) so saying price difference is only 200$~183€ is not representative because it is definitely not worth buying it with only 1 battery!
