My DJI Mini 3 Pro is shooting still photos in 4:3 aspect ratio (4032 x 3024), and I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I can't find where to change the aspect ratio to 3:2 for example.

Any hints by chance?

The 16:9 setting is just cropping the 4:3 shot. your much better shooting 4:3 and cropping later.

On a related note, any thought about digital zoom during video? Is the digital zoom better when shooting in 4k? I'm guessing it is, mostly just wondering aloud.

I always shoot 4k 30fps.    Only time I use the zoom is to do a dolly zoom effect.

Hello, I went to the settings to change to 16:9 from 4:3 but it won’t allow me in camera mode. I can before the drone finishes linking but then it changes it back to 4:3.

You have to have the drone powered up and connected to be able to change the setting.

why cant you give us the option to shoot RAW stills in 3:2 ratio.
like all mirrorless and DSLR
and ...
1. let us see exactly what we are shooting
2.save us the post proccesing

Depends on the sensor used.
My M2P is 3:2

Smaller sensor drones typically use 4:3.

Yes its annoying and results in my Mini 3 images being cropped to about 8mpixel in post to change the aspect but it is what it is - they're limited by sensor choice at this weight drone.

It won't let you change the aspect ratio if you have 48MP selected.  If you switch it to single it will enable the setting again.

Hi there.   The aspect ratio is not available to change?  I understand that cropping 4:3 is an option, however I don’t necessarily want to crop every photo.   4:3 is the only option for camera.

You can alter the aspect for stills, as shown.
Video is fixed to 16:9.

Mine only gives the option for 4:3. Is this in a firmware update?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Does this happen in photo mode? For the Timelapse photo, the ratio of the original footage is 4:3, which cannot be adjusted. Please keep us posted. Have a nice day.
