Amazing shots DA.    At first I thought it was a lone sailor onboard but after zooming in I see at least two sailors onboard.  That's a beautiful boat.

Yes,   It arrived on Wednesday.      I just got back from taking it for a test flight but I aborted due to the weather,     30mph wind here although they felt stronger than that in person.   

So far it seems to fly OK,  the camera and gimbal were perfect and there were 2 previous flights on it when it arrived which I think were from the factory.   No record of it being test flown at HQ though.  Also it was fully sealed as you'd expect.   Only thing I wasnt able to rest was the range of this one,    it was too windy to send it more than a 1000ft.

Its funny though,  having flown the Mini3 so much lately as Ive not really had a Mini2 to fly for 6 weeks you forget how much better the video feed on O3 is to O2.

Great.  Glad to hear the logistics saga is finally over.  

Shame the weather didn't permit for a fully functional test flight.  However, from what you have tested seems like this replacement will be acceptable.

No doubt about 03 providing better video feed.

Would be nice though if DJI made the RC screened compatible with the Mini 2.

Well, at least you can sell it as New at this point and save the money for the Mini 4.  I didn't see a rumored release date for the Mini 4 on DealsDrone's twitter site.  He does list the Pocket 3, Inspire 3, Air 3 and Mavic 3S.

My money on the Mini 4 is about 100 days time.  roughly a year from the Mini 3.

Looking back I see that timing would work.  Will be really interesting to see what the R&D team dreams up for this iteration of the Mini.

thanks Mr B,   as it seems with most boats it spends most of its life on the mooring,   Ive only seen that one a couple of times over the last 9 months.

It took me a while to get used to the "frog" look of the Mini 3 Pro but it has kind of grown on me now so if Mini 4 shares that same design I'd be okay with it.  Especially, if the batteries are compatible between the 3 Pro and the 4.

I always write liked the design,  certainly more interesting than the Mini2 look.

Will you be upgrading to the Mini4 when it's released?

Probably will (providing DJI drones are still available in the US at that time).  I love my Skydio 2+ when I needed for sport's tracking.  I just wish the camera was equivalent in quality to what is on the DJI drones.
