Some nice footage, but yeah it is a bit washed out. Consider some ND filters so you can get the shutter speed where it needs to be and still not be over exposed. You are definitely losing some colors in the trees and things. Here is a boring video that I put together of scrap footage during a recent trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Beautiful green colors and mountains, yet still getting colors from the sky. This was used with a ND16
Thanks for the replies! And, yes, that video looks MUCH better colorwise than mine. I actually went ahead and purchased the pop on ND filter set from David Ditzler and am anxiously awaiting them. Read a lot about keeping shutter speed to 2x the frame rate and also how to know which ND filter to select. Your example really brings home the argument!
That would have been awesome! I had every intention of taking my copter to our trip to Hyannis, MA, but the President was in Martha's Vineyard and there was a 30mile radius ban on aircraft...specifically including models.
We were in one of the largest rentals in the area (sleeps 44), up on the hill east for a little over a week. Fantastic view, but a little too smokey. Had a great time.
I live in Vermont. Where is this? I have never seen a brown river here. All of our water is very clear.
I am a noob flyer, but a professional photographer. I would also concur about using a fix white balance setting especially when you will be flying into different conditions like toward the sun and away from it in a single pan.
great, love to see people enjoying themselves and sharing their happy moments!!
now you must do a video when all covered in snow!! then definitely use nd filter.
