I am interested in getting the DJI Avata and had a couple of questions.
1. Does the drone with the googles v2 have head tracking?
2. How long does the controller and google battery last?
3. The view through the googles match that of the videos that are recorded?
I would really appreciate all comments to help me make this decision.

Here's what I can answer:

1. No.  Head Tracking is available with the Avata and Goggles 2.  Not supported with the Goggles V2.

2.  From my experience, I have used 3 batteries in the Avata and had 90% charge left in the Motion controller and about 85% in the Goggles 2.

3.  What you see in the goggles is what you will get in the final video.  Only difference is you will not see the HUD and most likely the video will be much smoother depending on the settings you use.

Just my thought: The Avata is a GREAT FPV drone.  I was very hesitant to purchase it because I had never flown FPB before.  I have flown Mavics for about 3 years now, so I was kind of familiar with the controls and the HUD.

Hi, Paperpilot. Thank you for reaching out. Tom_765 has provided the correct information. Let me just add the Battery Life of the compatible RC and Goggles for the DJI Avata:

DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 - Approx. 9 hours
Motion Controller - Approx. 5 hours
DJI FPV Goggles Battery - Approx. 110 minutes (measured in an environment of 25°C at maximum brightness level)
DJI Goggles 2 Battery - Approx. 2 hours

One with the Goggles 2, the other with the Goggles V2...!!!!!
