Read that over on Phantom Pilots. Started up a real shitstorm with some of the guys. Seems like that isn't supposed to get out right now, and somebody's pissed that it did.
Anyway, I think it is great news if it is for real and am looking forward to having the expanded features.

Hopefully they fix the gimbal horizon issue, or at least provide some type of assurance that it is being worked on

I am already very happy, now. Upping  the ante, is just gravy. I love my Phantom 3, just as she is.

I'd be a little miffed If I had payed the extra cash for the pro model ;)

But like with all previous new FW updates, we have to wait for a few "lucky" first timers to get it, try it then report back what is actually working, what it broke, and how it actually runs!  But once all the little details are worked out, it looks very promising!

but that logic doesnt work! because for example, i have never had any issues on three fw that i have had!!
but every time i come to the forum there is plenty of people that apparently have issues!

Same here, My issues = Zero, we must have got a winning combo. ;-)
Still no stress cracks in or near the screw holes either. Awesome.

Can t DJI propose higher frame rate for lower resolution on the Pro version? Will be interesting to have the ability to do some slow motion similar to what the Go Pro are proposing.

Can someone please explain to me how a camera that was sold to film 1080P can now do 2.7k...wouldnt this be hardware feature and now software??? wouldn't this mean that samsung could relaese an update letting my Tv broadcast in 4K?? (sarcasm) but really I'm still confused.

Well $260 extra for the pro and if the advanced is shooting 2.7k at 30fps I think the visual quality between the two models would be minimal.I personally think that the camera itself isn't up to snuff to shoot quality 4k anyway.....Just my thoughts

Talking about proprietary information is not the wisest thing to do...

That guy who reverse coded the Phantoms said they had the same camera, with 2x not yet used. Maybe he was right.

Same sensor... Different processors... That is why the Pro has a fan on the camera/gimble and the advance doesn't  

2.7 K will be nice for all those out there with the Apple Thunderbolt display

Same camera sensor in all models,that's why. Like BMW same engine in 320 and 330 with different turbocharger and mappings. Well brakes and bushings arE beefier too. And you pay 2500 bucks for thoose extra 70 HP

Isn't supposed to get out? It's all over DJI's website as a "current" feature.

Apparently beta testing on the features ends on 3rd Sept, so I would think by the time all the reports are sent to DJI and they act upon any issues revealed it may be a while yet before we see these features on new firmware.
