Out with the Pocket2 this morning, I spotted this sculpture on the opposite canal bank.  It must be new. I didn't see it when I passed the spot on Monday.

It looks really nice.

Someone had good imagination, to carve this sculpture

A great picture, but I do find the sculpture somehow a bit unsettling. But there is no denying that creating that took time, effort and skill.

A bit wierd isn't it.  But imaginative. And it wasn't there last week.

It sure is, both imaginative and weird. And on the other hand, part of the fascination of fantasy-like elements is exactly due to the weirdness involved.

Pretty striking, isn't it.  Not sure what that is, on the roof of the hut. From the colour, maybe a wasp?
There's all manner of sculptures around. The huge picture of a green leaf behind the hands is a painting on a sheet of timber cut to shape.

Very artistic.  I zoomed in on the object on the roof but can't really tell for sure what it is.  Looked like a fat bumble bee to me but pretty cool whatever it is.

Not necessary.  It was just curiosity on my part.  

Got a project this afternoon.  I'm "assisting" my daughter who is advising her son on his 5th grade science project.  His project is "Demonstrating Geotropism in Plants".  His goal is to show how plants respond to gravity - stem grows upward toward light and roots grow downward because of gravitational effect.

Absolutely!  The things they are being taught now are so much more advanced that what I remember having in school.

I have to agree with you 100% on that.  Technology has its advantages but nothing wrong with learning the basics the "old school" way.
