Had my Mini 3 since last May, read about fogging issues, but never suffered myself until the last couple of outings with it.

Is this fogging?


It was a clear, bright day.  Removing the lens cover and wiping the lens with a camera cloth did not help, but it did eventually clear itself after about 10 minutes.  I had similar on the previous outing, where it suddenly looked like I was flying in mist after a couple of minutes.

Pretty common - the O-ring seal between the camera lens and protective glass doesnt work properly.

Its a simple fix though, remove the 2 screws, slide off the front cover then after a while reinstall it making sure the O-ring is seated correctly.

Its not fog inside the camera, due to the hot camera it forms inside the protective glass not the camera itself.

Thanks for the response.  As it's currently still under warranty, if it needs screws removing to fix, I think it's probably best to send it to DJI to sort?

2 tiny black screws hold the plastic/glass protector unit on.  On either horizontal side of the camera mount.

The whole plastic unit slides off to reveal the actual camera module.

Ah thanks, now I see them, this old eyesight not what it was.  I don't have the problem but nice to know if it develops that there is a fix.
