just noticed that one arm on my mini 3 pro, is difficult to rotate out and when in the closed position there is some play, it is not the arm that opens straight out it is the one that rotates down. once open it seems fine. Has anyone sent one like this in for repair, any idea how much it ended up costing to repair it and how long it took?
Hi, Cavids. Thank you for reaching out. Can you please provide us with a video of the issue for us to confirm if it needs to be sent in for repair? Thank you.
When they are in the folded position I have a little play as well. But as long they don't move when in the open position, I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve here.. Are you worried that it will eventually fell off?
If it is fine when open, like you said, than you have no issues...
yes when open there is no wiggle, but opening the one arm is not smooth at all, I have to kind of guide it to get it open, the other side just opens correctly

Then if that's the case, your option was on post n.2.. Send dji a video and see what they think...
In that case, there are two screws that hold the arm onto its pivot, remove those and the arm can be pulled slightly clear of the pivot and you might get room enough to see if the 3 screws that clamp the actual pivot to the drone's shell are in place and tight.
A concern would be whether or not a screw has been pulled out, note PULLED OUT, of the shell or if one of the screw holes has cracked. or if the shell itself has cracked.
Any of those would really require a shell replacement.
However if DJI can detect that an arm has been removed and replaced then the warranty may be voided.
If one screw has, for whatever reason, come loose and it is not fixed I would suggest that it is only a matter of time before problems arise with the other two screws and or the drone's shell
