Interesting, have you flown it with the extensions on and how did it perform?  Don't think it would fit in Hardshell Backpack.

before this I made several models, this is the most stable even in high winds, and 'very light and you can build a system to remove it and put it on each trip with zaino.Non've had no turnovers rear power.

Very cool.  My only concern would be how the flat faces of that clear plastic would catch a crosswind.

It's not metal so no. It will add to the "greased rock" aerodynamics of it though

doesn´t have to be metal for that. Try put your hand over the GPS antenna on top and see what happens.

I would like it better if it had sort of a flare at the bottom. As it is, the width stays almost exactly the same, but it gets higher off the ground.

I've been toying with ideas as well. I want something (if I can find it) that makes the base much, much wider than it already is. That would also help to keep the landing gear out of the viewfinder.

In the meantime, I bought one of those carbon fiber "straps" that attaches to the base with tie wraps. I'm hoping that's plenty of protection for the camera/gimbal.

Saw someone the other day post the same thing. Don't know about you, but I found it really, really difficult to fly my Phantom with my hand over the top of it!

Try doin that and check the compass sensor values..
