Is it OK to have discussion/questions in these tutorials?

I have a new Mini 2 SE. I tried it out and then put it to one side just over 2 weeks ago, with one battery in the drone and the other two, one fully charged and one at about 25%, in the charging hub (which was unplugged).

I do realise that batteries self-discharge, but today I wanted to used the drone, expecting to have 2 almost fully charged batteries.  The one in the drone was showing 3 lights, and of the other 2 one was showing no lights and the other (presumably the one that had been fully charged) 1 light.

Should I remove them from the charging hub to store them?
Is my experience what I should expect?
If I want to keep my drone ready for use, how should I store the batteries?

Grateful for any advice, TIA.

Is it normal that my batteries won’t hold a charge for very long when not in use? For example, I use my drone, charge up all the batteries and leave them stored in a cool dry place. But then I go to use my drone again 2 months later and they’re all dead? They’re new too. Suggestions? Thanks

Hi there. Regular Self-discharge is a phenomenon in batteries in which internal chemical reactions reduce the stored charge of the battery without any connection between the electrodes or any external circuit. This is illustrated by the percentage of capacity lost each year or each month. In this case, the battery level will decrease naturally over time due to the physical characteristics of the battery.
