I did not do anything (at least not that I'm aware off).
After I noticed they were gone, I did a CTRL + F5 full refresh, but still the same.
Your avatar is missing too btw.



I also spoke to @DAFlys and RDBDowntown. They have similar issues with most images on the forum

This is one of the many errors I get regarding images when I look at the dev tools.

I only noticed there were a lot of 403 messages in the developer tools from my browser. This usually means : permission denied.
So something probably changed on their fileserver.

I did see a few 403 messages but not being a techie I had no idea what they meant.  Anyway, at least the forum is back to normal.  Although it seems to be a lot quieter lately.

Glad I'm staying home for the 3 day Memorial Day holiday as I saw all the traffic issues on the news last night.  Airports packed, flights delayed, highways full.  I figured it best to avoid the roads this weekend.

Combination of people being in too big of a hurry and complacent driving.  One of the deaths was caused when a speeding car rear-ended a semi-truck.  Like the highway signs say - Slow Down and Live.  Such a sad situation.

You're absolutely right.  I'm a firm believer in the saying "speed kills".  I like to see the roadway signs that say "slow down and arrive alive".

It used to be that just young drivers were mostly the speeders.  Nowadays everybody seems to be in such a big rush that they simply don't comply with traffic laws and rules of the road.  Recently there have been many incidents of road rage with drivers getting out and having fist fights or hitting the other car with a baseball bat.  Just crazy to be on the roads sometimes.

Not a good time to be in law enforcement.  They are expected to keep the peace and arrest the violators all the while being under the microscope of the media.  What a thankless job to have.

Good to know.  My son-in-law served as a Military Policeman in the Air Force and when he got out he went to work for the Virginia Highway Patrol.  After a year on the  job he decided it was not the safest career field to be in and went back to college.  He is now a Real Estate Broker and loves what he is doing.

Exactly what I was thinking when he told me about his plans.  However, he has pulled it off very successfully and he says it is a lot less stressful job than being in law enforcement.  No doubt a much safer job.
