Hi, I'm a new DJI Mini 3 Pro user in Canada. FCC mode is legal where I live. However my drone uses CE mode, and the range is terrible. Once the drone has flown a couple hundred metres with trees around, I start to lose signal and have to bring it back.
This is unacceptable! When is DJI going to update the software/firmware to allow me to fly my drone in FCC mode?

There are third party hacks to fix this problem, but I don't want to use them, and shouldn't have to.

DJI please fix this ASAP.

Yes, it seems really odd that DJI would impose CE mode on us here in Canada. Maybe it's because they can't be bothered to get ISED certification for their products.

Canada's regulations are usually in sync with the US equivalent, so it takes very little work to get approved here, and then the supplier sends the same model to all of North America.

You're right, it would be very unfortunate if DJI just didn't bother with that extra step, and stuck Canada with these CE models.

But - it should be an easy firmware fix to correct the problem for Canada's existing drones.

This was fixed last year i think, are you saying its back?

Can you show us an image of your transmission page, please?

Please provide the firmware versions of the drone, RC, and the DJI Fly app version. Kindly provide also a screenshot of the image transmission and transmission settings. We will wait for your reply. Like the OP, I also live in Canada, but I have no clue if I'm in FCC mode or not.  The various photos and videos that I have seen online are more confusing than anything else.

After powering up the drone and acquiring 20 satellites or so, this is what I see on the transmission page:



Aircraft: 01.00.0600
RC Firmware: 01.03.0100
App Version: 1.10.0

It is when you know, if the line is bang on the 1km mark then its CE mode
