i have been trying to find a tutorial about how to make the fantom 3 professional follow me and I have not been successful. Can anyone explain how to do it?

Also what is the best way to take panoramic pictures?

As Ray points out, IOC features are coming in future releases of firmware and GO App updates. For panoramas, you take photos as you rotate the P3 and then use software to stitch the pictures together. One such free software utility is from Microsoft Research called ICE. It's a Windows utility and is available HERE - MS Image Composite Editor

I make mine follow me all the time......I use the sticks on my RC when I walk! Soon we will have this option though.......SOON!
