It is a camera, but why are you surprised by? You can disable it in the setting if you wish...

Why every mobile phone has one? Same reason I guess... To be honest with you, there is also a microphone, but I'm not sure if they get used... I got them set to on for the DJI fly app and off for every other app... You could download an app for the camera and see what you get out of it...

Not a camera. This is most likely a light sensor that controls the auto screen brightness levels of the RC Pro.

Try to cover it with your finger and see if the screen brightness does change...

Hi, fanse5ea82b8. Thank you for reaching out. It is not a camera but a photosensitive sensor. When the remote controller enables the auto brightness mode, the screen brightness will increase when the light is enhanced, and vice versa.
