Hi again forum, i have a problem, i just bought a DJI mini 2 and the previous owner forgot to unbind the drome from their account and he applied to delete his account. What will happen with the drone, will i be able to bind it to my account or the drone will be stuck forever on his account. Ty for help.

Im sure one of the DJI mods can confirm this but there was a mention about this a while back and the answer was after some days of the account being deleted the drone would be automatically unbound from the account.

Hello, there. The cancellation will be completed within 3 weeks since the user submit the delete request.

If so what about unbinding the controller from the drone ?

Could you please tell us if you are the owner of the drone?
If so, you can contact our online support( support@dji.com) and report the deleted account, we will help you unbind the drone.
If you purchase it from private transactions/second-hand platform. You need to contact the seller then ask the previous owner to contact us to unbind the drone with this deleted account.

No I am not the owner of the drone, the question relates to any drone where this happens.

Hi dji wanda, I have an error on my dji mavic 3 where its saying its bounded to another account….. but its my email its bound to, but  On closer inspection of my email address one letter is different to my actual account i have with you. I have log into this account with one letter different to mine using my password from my original account and its let me log in! So something has gone wrong your end for some reason. I have never had this email address but somehow my mavic 3 is log into it. When i log in on the fly app with this email it still says it’s bound to this email but i still do not have the option to unbind it from this email account. Can i just delete the account from my controller (dji rc pro) and it will FREE the drone from the spoof account as i  will call it as something very strange has happened. When i log in to actual email my mini 3 shows which allows it to be unbound but not my mavic 3 as it showing the spoof email, it’s all very bizarre to say the least.
