Can I jump on this thread with a similar issue on my Mini 3 Pro.
I have been doing some flights recently, at several locations nearby. Strangely enough, the shots made at location 1, 2 and 3 were rasor sharp, the shots made at location 4 and 5 were blurry (somewhat out of focus, but enough to make the shots unusable). I went back to redo the shots at location 4 and 5, and again, out of focus. A test flight after seeing the problem: perfect focus. Seems there is an intermittent problem (meaning, it's not dirty lens, or so). My drone is updated to the latest Firmware v01.00.0900.
I did a test here at home, using a pattern. Here is the link to a recording from the screen: https://youtu.be/jKNkD-wAAXs
Setting my Mini 3 Pro to AUTOFOCUS, and tapping the screen caused the autofocus motor to bring the pattern perfectly IN FOCUS, but 0.5 seconds later (at the beep) out of focus. This happens several time as you can see in the video. Switching to manual focus, I could focus perfectly, and the camera stayed in focus. Then I accidently touched the Landscape/Portret button, and after returning to Landscape, in AF, each touch gave a perfect focus.
Left: bad focus after tapping, right: good focus after tapping... exactly the same setup.
I think I can conclude that this behaviour is not normal, so something is definitely wrong with the drone... It probably explains why some flights have perfect focus, whilst other flights are Off-focus. On the small phone screen, in sunlight, it's quite hard to see if the shot is in focus or not, so very frustrating to arrive home with blurry recordings.
What can you recommend here ?
