I have just purchased DJI Air 3. I live and work in UK but am looking to go on a holiday to USA later this year

I am looking to fly the drone recreationally and hoping to capture some great holiday footage

I have been researching on what I need to do to fly a drone in USA and have succesfully obtained my TRUST certificate and have installed B4U app

I have been trying to register my drone with the FAA and it seems that DJI Air 3 is not listed on the FAA site so I cannot register

Is this correct? Does this mean it is illegal to fly DJI Air 3 in USA?

As soon as I start typing my serial number which begins with 1581F6N8* I get a message which says imvalid serial number

Can someone please help

DJI Air 3 supports FAA RID requirement with the factory firmware version, while it takes time to have this update the FAA Official Website due to the changes in the format of the materials required by the FAA to apply for RID compliance. DJI is actively communicating with the FAA in a timely manner, and it is expected that AIR 3 will be announced on the FAA website soon.

I'm also flying to the USA next week and from what I've ready in their regulation pages, it's mandatory to register the drone if it's more than 250g, however as it was mentioned the Air 3 is not listed.

What will happen if I'm flying my Air 3 and a law enforcement officer asks for the registration proof?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. For your concern, DJI has self-declared compliance with FAA RID regulations (the compliance sticker on the fuselage of the aircraft is already marked with compliance). Rest assured that You could complete registration on the FAA system as usual.
