Buchlov Castle in the Czech Republic.
Buchlov is also the historical Czech name for the town of Buchloe in Bavaria. Buchlov (Buchlau in German) is a royal castle standing on the hill of the same name in Chřibe nad Buchlovice at an altitude of 522 meters. The time of construction of this castle is estimated at the first half of the 13th century. The last modification of the castle was carried out by Jan Ždánský from Zástřizel during the reconstruction in the Renaissance style in the years 1540–1558. The castle is owned by the state and is managed by the National Institute of Monuments. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1968, and since January 1, 2002 it has been included in the list of national cultural monuments.
