How do i take pics while recording video? I hit the photo button while recording and now i am home and no pics. What gives?

kinda curious also on this never  try though most likely you can't but you can take a still pic of the video possibly ?

You can not take pix while recording

I just did it today, flying around above my job i had the camera rolling the entire time. I pushed the shutter button on top right of remote to see if I 'could' but didn't hear a shutter sound so I thought it was a no go. when I checked the Sd card, the jpg was there.

So you were able to see the whole video plus the pictures at the point you took them then? Kinda cool

yeah, it was my first day using the go app also so I found it cool to see the flight log and little thumbnails of my pictures right over where I snapped them.

Hrm are you set to just jpeg or raw or both?

If this is the case, this is another point UP for the DJI Go app b/c you definitely couldn't do this with the DJI Pilot app as I tried it and it never worked.


I echo the question regarding how you have the still cam setup:  just JPEG, or RAW+JPG

I've tried it and it didn't work for me...

i believe he is mistaken, just try it on your kitchen table and see

I really didn't set any thing up, at least not in regards to making any changes, I used it with its default settings. Standby, I'll check the files' metadata.

I'm quite sure that's not possible..

just checked both files, I had hoped to see the jpg create time fall in between the start and stop times of the video. If you look at the jpeg it is at 0659, the video start time is also 0659. I guess it's possible that I hit the shutter button just before the record start buton. I was really excited thinking I could snap shots on the fly while recording. Sigh
